The Greene County Rams lost both basketball games to the Roland-Story Norsemen in Story City Jan. 14.
The girls lost their fourth of five road games by a 50-44 score. Kayla Mobley and Hannah Onken each scored 11 points.
“Again, we got off to a slow start offensively. We didn’t defend well in the first quarter. We need to start games with our game plan right way. We can’t wait until we get down by 15 points,” head coach Chad Morton said.
The loss dropped the team to 6-6 overall and 5-5 in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference.
The boys did not fare better, losing 75-56. FreshmanTrey Tucker once again led the team in scoring with 20 points. Sophomore Mitchell Gorsuch recorded a career-best 14 points. The team is now at 3-7 overall and 2-7 in conference games.
